Written by Yolanda Wang

You can permanently close your Sykka account at any time from within the app. Closing your account is irreversible, so please read the section below before you start.

Before you close your account

  1. Withdraw your full balance. Any funds remaining at closure, including referral rewards, cannot be recovered.

  2. Wait for pending transactions to complete — withdrawals, refunds, or card transactions still settling.

  3. Cancel subscriptions linked to your Sykka card.

The app will not let you proceed while you have a balance or pending transactions.

How to close your account in the app

  1. Open the Sykka app and go to Me.

  2. Tap Close account.

  3. Review and acknowledge the consequences of deleting your account.

  4. Tap confirm closure to close your account.

Your account is closed immediately. You'll receive a confirmation email.

If you can't access the app

You can request closure by emailing [[email protected]] from your registered email addres. We'll verify your identity before processing the request.

What happens to your data

When you close your account, we delete your personal information from active systems, including your profile, card details, and app data.

Certain information may be retained where required by applicable law. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

After closure

  1. Your account cannot be recovered.

  2. Any remaining balance, unused rewards, benefits, and promotional offers are forfeited.

  3. Your card is permanently cancelled, and you will no longer be able to receive refunds from merchants for past card transactions.

  4. Your deposit address is deactivated. Any funds sent to it after closure will be lost and cannot be recovered.

  5. Your referral link stops working.

  6. You can register a new account later. However, if you have already completed identity verification, you will not be able to verify the new account using an identity document belonging to the same person.
