Open the Sykka app and check the Transactions page.

  • If the declined transaction appears with an error message

The decline came from our side. Check the common reasons below; if none apply, take a screenshot and contact our support team via in-app chat and we'll look into the exact cause.

  • If there's no record of the transaction

The payment never reached Sykka, so it was declined by the merchant or their payment provider. Contact the merchant directly to find out why.

Common reasons a transaction is declined

  • Insufficient balance: Your available balance is lower than the transaction amount. Note that some merchants place a temporary hold larger than the purchase amount, and a USD 0.50 fee applies to declines caused by insufficient balance.

  • Card frozen or inactive: Check that your card is active and not frozen in the app.

  • Spending or transaction limit reached: Check your remaining daily and monthly limits in the app.

  • Merchant category not supported: Some categories (e.g. gambling, certain financial services) can't be paid with a Sykka card.

  • Incorrect card details: Double-check the card number, expiry date, CVV, and billing address entered at checkout.

  • Security check: Unusual activity may trigger a temporary block. Contact support to verify the transaction.
