What Should I Do if My Sykka Card Is Charged Fraudulently?

Have you noticed a charge that you didn't make? Here's how you can protect your account:

  1. Freeze your card. Freeze it right away to stop any further charges. Go to Card > Freeze.

Note: if the card is linked to any subscriptions, cancel them with the relevant merchant first. Otherwise, you may see failed charges (and possible fees) once the card is frozen.

  2. Check the charge

Check your transaction history for any unauthorised charges. Sometimes an unfamiliar charge is a forgotten subscription or a merchant listed under a different name. If you recognise the merchant, contact them directly to report the charge and request a refund.

  3. Request a chargeback

If you cannot resolve the issue with the merchant, you may be able to request a chargeback. For more details, please see How do chargebacks work?(Transaction Disputes & Chargebacks)

  4. What to do if charges continue

Still seeing charges you didn't make after freezing your card? You can delete the card in the Sykka app to help prevent further losses: go to Card > Settings > Delete card.

*Never share your full card details (number, expiry date and CVV code) or enter them on untrusted sites.
