Sykka has two separate sets of country restrictions: one affects whether you can open an account, the other affects where your card can be used. They don't cover exactly the same places, so it's worth reading both.
Opening an account
Not supported — Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Syria, Ukraine
We're unable to complete identity verification for residents of these countries, which means the card and other account services aren't available.
Additional verification required — China, Russia, Venezuela
You can apply, but verification requires a valid identity document plus proof that you live outside that country. These applications go to manual review, take longer, and approval isn't guaranteed.
Using your card
Payments declined — Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela
Transactions made in these locations are declined automatically, regardless of your account status. This applies even if your account is fully verified and you're simply travelling.
These lists can change
Country restrictions follow sanctions, our card network's rules, and the licensing conditions we operate under — none of which are ours to set. We may add or remove countries at any time as those requirements change, sometimes with little notice. We'll keep this page current, but a change can take effect before you see it reflected here.
If you believe your country or address has been identified incorrectly, message us through the in-app chat.
